How do you tell your hispanic parents you joined a sorority?

How do you tell your spanish parents you joined a sorority? I have googled this question many times before and got lists of the multicultural sororities but in fact, what I meant was, how do you explain sorority life to parents who never went to college or know about the different aspects of college life. Being the only daughter out of four brothers and the second child to attend college and the first one to actually stay in college for more than a semester, I  was seen as the achiever within my family.

My parents, aren't the type of people who prohibited me from joining clubs or going out with friends, but they always expected me to be responsible and make good choices, so when I joined a sorority I wanted them to know that I wasn't joining something bad and that it was something good.

FYI, they have never heard of the hazing stories, the party aspect of greek life or that you have to pay dues.

Now getting onto explaining greek life/ joining a sorority, the first thing I did was translate sorority and got "Hermandad de Mujers" (thanks google) and from there on I told them it was a club/organization for women only and that not everyone is allowed to join, it was privileged. Not all sororities will fit you or will you like, each and every one of them stand for something different, some are national, regional, or local.
